Healthy teeth help protect against other diseases.

Our dedicated dental team plans treatment around the condition of your pet's teeth, helping your pet get treatment at the right time to maintain or restore oral function. Without proper dental care, gingivitis, periodontitis, chronic indigestion and other problems can develop, and heavy tartar can let bacteria enter the bloodstream and affect organs such as the kidneys and heart. That's why our dental service focuses on preventive care to reduce the risk of oral disease. Because pets can't tell us when they are in pain, our dental team examines, treats and plans surgery under a pain-control protocol that aims to minimize discomfort during treatment.

How dental treatment works

Pets can become stressed during dental work, so most dental treatment is done under general anesthesia. That makes careful anesthetic management important. A veterinarian trained in anesthesia & pain management takes part in our dental procedures, helping senior dogs and cats be treated more safely.
